Meet Dan, the owner of Camelot Homes
Dan’s journey in construction began in 1979 when, at just 16 years old, he started working at Camelot Homes. Beginning as a laborer, he learned to frame, developed his skills as a finisher, and in 1998 became a 50% owner of the company. Since 2002, Dan has served as President and sole owner. His decades of hands-on experience give him a unique ability to see every stage of a project clearly, understanding not just each component, but how they all work together. Camelot Homes’ reputation for craftsmanship and attention to detail is a direct reflection of that foundation of experience.
Camelot and the Greater Oceanside Area
V.I. Camelot Homes has been a cornerstone of residential custom home construction in Central Vancouver Island since 1979, building and renovating custom and luxury homes across the Parksville and Qualicum Beach area for over four decades. Our portfolio in the region includes notable projects such as the Eagle Wood Village Estates subdivision in Qualicum Beach, where Camelot constructed 51 single-family homes, and the Ocean Breeze Estates, a collection of nine luxury homes set on 6.6 acres within walking distance of the ocean, and “Music by the Sea”, an extensive custom home build that won multiple awards for it’s impressive features like the stairs that feature a built in harp in the railing. Camelot Homes was also the first builder on Vancouver Island to construct to BUILT GREEN® standards, reflecting a long-standing commitment to sustainable building practices. Our dedication to quality has earned us over twenty Canadian Home Builders Association Gold Care Awards for green building, original design, and renovations, cementing our reputation as one of the most trusted names in custom home construction on the Island.
